The Albrighton Woodland Hunt country lies in the West Midlands,Shropshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire. It extends 15 miles north to south and 14 miles east to west . The motorway and urbanisation has encroached to the east of the country. There remains a good mixture of grass, woodland and arable. Little of the country is closed to the hunt and there are plenty of hunt jumps to make access easier for the riders. The best centres are Enville and Churchill. The neighbouring hunts are the Worcestershire Foxhounds to the south, the Wheatland Foxhounds to the west across the River Severn and the Albrighton Foxhounds to the north. The kennels are at Hurcott just outside Kidderminster. Shooting restricts access in certain areas , but with cooperation meets can be fitted in around the shooting dates. Mange has been a problem in recent years and has seriously affected the fox population in both numbers and in health. The hunt meets twice a week on a Wednesday and Saturday at 11am, from late October through to mid March.
